BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! Dr. Cody, Ashley (dental assistant), Georgina (financial counselor) and everyone in the office was so comforting and patient with me. I have PTSD and the dentist is one of my biggest fears but they were truly amazing and, comforting and so incredibly understanding. I was literally in tears and the entire staff kept checking on me making sure I was ok, they brought me water, offered me a blanket even charged my phone when it died!! Dr. Cody and Ashley BOTH explained everything very thoroughly and made sure I understood everything he answered all my questions and made me feel included with my plan of care. Georgina came in explained all my options and assured me that they had my best interest at heart. She didn't make me feel pressured to make any impulsive decisions or feel obligated to get anything done. She expressed compassion and understanding for my financial needs and help me choose the best options for me and in my budget. To be honest there isn't any dentists and dental staff out there anymore who TRULY care about their patients and their dental needs. They made me feel like I was family!!!! He is one of the good ones! Truly a rare find. Dr. Cody is my new hero!!! He and his ENTIRE staff have restored my faith in dentistry and I am now in the process of restoring my smile. I can't thank you ALL enough!!! The office is clean, warm and inviting. Top notch office with top notch care. See you his next week! Stop by say hi to them I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

this review is LONG over due, but I'm a procrastinator.. Firstly, if you're looking for a dentist, I would HIGHLY recommend Whittier Modern Dentistry. I had been going to my previous dentist since I was in 4th grade.  When I left for college and was left as an adult to manage my own care, I stopped going to the dentist..  "I had no time".  Plus they were scary.  Every time I went to the dentist growing up it was a scary ordeal.  I dreaded the dentist; my whole face being numb, biting up my cheeks/tongue.  The pain!  Scraping around in my mouth.  How is my whole face numb but there's still pain??  So when I had to schedule my own appointments as an adult- I didn't.  Besides, "my teeth weren't bad and I didn't have pain so why go?".. But then I was 28 and had new insurance and if I'm paying for it then I may as well use it.. Plus at that time I hadn't gone in like 9 years, so wayy over due.  It's like the longer I waited the more shame I had because it had been so long and my teeth were probably gross but I was also afraid of what was going to happen/what they'd tell me was wrong since it WAS so long.. My old dentist didn't accept my new insurance so I had to go shopping.  Whittier Modern Dentistry didn't have a lot of reviews but the reviews they did have were positive so I took a chance- I needed to be a big girl and go to the dentist. LET ME TELL YOU it was one of the best things to happen to me as an adult. Or just a human in general because I wish I went here as a kid..  Maybe I wouldn't have waited so long to go.  Maybe I wouldn't have hated the dentist and it'd be a normal, regular thing.. I told them this whole story and I was met with understanding, not shame.  I have not experienced pain.  I have not experienced being afraid.  I've definitely been nervous given my past experiences ("ptsd") but always leaving relieved that it was not bad at all.  And to my surprise, my teeth weren't as bad as I thought! I've had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed which was the most nervous thing for myself given seeing all those online vids of people getting their teeth removed..  I guess it gave me a skewed perception of what it was going to be like.  I'm not sure how long the procedure was but I checked-in in the morning, sat in the dentist chair, closed my eyes and counted, then I opened my eyes to be escorted out via wheelchair to my car (I had a driver of course) still in the morning?  It was done and I didn't even know?  AND I had ZERO swelling at all, like AT ALL.  I used my pain meds for that day and the following day but didn't need them for the rest of recovery (which was about 4 or 5 days).  My appointment was a Friday and I was back to work Monday, though I'm sure I could've gone back to work the following day fine. Even as im writing this review waiting for my crown to be made-  the intention coming in today was to get a root canal.  I've had this crown since I was in middle school, I'm 30 now.  When the dentist removed the old crown and cleaned the cavity she found that she was able to avoid the root canal and just put a permanent crown. They have always tried to save my teeth rather than pull them or do unnecessary work- which I greatly appreciate.  Less work and less money I'd have to pay, what a happy surprise! Over the past couple years I've readily come to my 6 month check-ins without fear or dread, I've even made other appointments "just to be sure" nothing was wrong.  Whittier Modern Dentistry has made a positive impact in my life for simply doing what they do. The staff are welcoming and kind, knowledgeable, capable and just fantastic at their craft.  Because honestly it is a craft, to make GOING TO THE DENTIST not scary or painful! I added a pic to show my numbed face waiting for my crown.  The dentist told me she "only numbed the tooth" and not my face, surprising to me that is even possible lol. TLDR: great, recommend, not scary, doesn't hurt, no unnecessary treatment, affordable, kind staff, knowledgeable team.
